MP Residence —
In Flemish Tuscany

- Client: Residence MP
- Location: Maarkedal (BE)
- Architect: Studio Daskal — Laperre
- Year: 2021
MP Residence sit on a unique lot in the enchanting landscape of the Flemish Ardennes - also known as the Tuscany of Flanders. The building, with an impressive surface of 1300m2, is perched on a gentle slope and conveys a sense of intimacy and organic symbiosis with the surrounding landscape.
Massive concrete volumes arrange the house spatially and functionally. With its generous glass sections, it is sometimes open to its environment with vistas to the rolling landscape, or protected when placed between, behind or within the massive concrete volumes.
The interior materials are finely detailed and elegant, refined and in contrast to the raw outer shell in formwork concrete. Some striking examples of these materials are the wood veneer in Afrormosia, the oak parquet and the timeless splendor of the master bathroom, clad in Musschelkalck stone.
This project was realized in collaboration with architecture studio Daskal-Laperre.
